Job Description

  • Responsible for building and maintaining cordial relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, regulators, media representatives, industry associations, and community groups, also build positive perception and increase the visibility of the company by communicating the business values of the organization amongst these stakeholders
  • Develop strategic plan for effective stakeholder engagement for issuance of favorable policy, regulation, and amendment of the existing laws and provision for holistic development of the e-Commerce industry
  • Monitor the internal business policies, detecting the complications and finding out the solutions to improve the position of the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze relevant legislation, regulations, and government policies that may impact the company
  • Engage with government officials and policymakers to influence decisions and promote the company's interests and coordinate lobbying efforts and develop advocacy strategies
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, conferences and industry events. Advocate for the company’s interests and address stakeholders concerns
  • Advise the company on new business proposals in light of the country’s current and future socio-political, policy & regulatory environment
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to handle potential crises effectively or reputation issues and act as a spokesperson during crisis situations, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders while mitigating negative impacts
  • Anticipate and address potential issues or controversies that may impact the organization's reputation, and develop appropriate strategies to manage and mitigate them

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law/Communications/Public Relations/Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate affairs, public relations, or related fields, preferably in a managerial role. Experience in crisis communications and government relations is highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements (Contract/ Agreements and procedures) is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to think strategically and develop long-term communication plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • A good understanding of the organization's industry, as well as knowledge of public affairs, government regulations, and current events that may impact the organization
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
