Roles and responsibilities of this job
We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Contract and Billing Engineer to join our team for the Hydroelectric Project. The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Kathmandu, with the flexibility to travel to the Project Site as required to verify measurements, coordinate with site teams, and monitor progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, verify, and process IPCs and final bills for subcontractors and clients.
Interpret contract clauses, manage variations, and handle claims/disputes (FIDIC/local conditions).
Conduct quantity take-offs and verify against site execution.
Track project costs, prepare cash flow forecasts, and report financial progress.
Perform rate analysis for new or extra BOQ items.
Review subcontractor agreements, verify progress claims, and ensure timely payments.
Maintain documentation of measurements, change orders, and correspondence; coordinate between site and head office.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Civil Engineering or Master’s in Engineering Construction Management
Minimum 5 year’s experience in contract administration and billing; experience in hydropower projects greater than 20 MW.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management software.
Strong knowledge of BOQ, technical specifications, and contract conditions.
Competitive salary based on experience, with travel and field allowances for site visits
