Salary: 600 USD Equivalent for competent and deserving candidate

Job Description:

• Curriculum mapping and alignment with academic standards according to the module specifications.
• Plan and create well-researched, original and engaging content for related module within deadlines
• Conduct research to enhance the content. This may also include identifying relevant topics, fact-checking, and analyzing sources to generate information
• Create powerpoint presentation style guides showcasing elegant and effective visual approaches to documentation including providing design team with relevant pictures and animation ideas for the relevant content, suggest other ideas for interactive and visual resources
• Create content for scenarios, simulations and case studies; provide artifacts andonline resources allowing for students to simulate work from the module
• Review and conduct content quality check of relevant subjects and provide feedbacks where necessary
• Regularly communicate with coordinator, writers and designers to develop content and ensure that deadlines are met
• Find ways to enhance user experience, identify custom add-ons to the module (eg. quizzes, assessments, mock tests, essays, tutorials)

Job Specification:

• Master’s degree in IT/Computing or related field
• 3-5 years of experience and demonstrated success in teaching the subject matter
• Writing and editing with speed and accuracy, displaying a strong knowledge of written and oral English communication and the ability to create clear, engaging, and informative text
• Excellent communicator, highly organized and able to avoid inconsistencies
• Collaborative, flexible, innovative, and the ability to meet frequent deadlines aided by a relentless sense of urgency and commitment to set goals
• Understanding of plagiarism as a serious offence and ability to create content by creating original materials for the scripts and slides
• Familiarity with London Met Computing curriculum programs, textbooks, materials, and instructional strategies related to the subject matter will be an advantage

Module Specific Requirements:

• Databases: Familiarity with Oracle Tools such as SQL Developer, Practical knowledge of SQL and Database Design
• Professional Issues, Ethics and Computer Law: Familiarity with UK and US Laws and Policy
• Software Engineering: Familiarity with DFDs, UML and other diagramming tools and techniques, Knowledge of Software Development Methodologies (Agile and Classical) for Software Engineering module
• Advance Database Management Systems: Comfortable using advanced SQL and database application development tools, such as Oracle SQL developer, Oracle, and Dot.net.
• Application Development: Comfortable with development platforms such as Microsoft .NET, including associated technologies, programming languages such as C# and ASP.NET.
