Content Editor (English)
- Edit the language and flow of scripts of various subjects and different academic levels that will be used in making video lessons.
- Perform a quality check and plagiarism check of the content in the scripts to ensure that the subject matter is correct and original.
- Collaborate with content experts and creative writers of various subjects and provide advice that will help improve the quality of scripts.
- Provide creative input to make video lessons more engaging and exciting for learners.
- Oversee the voice recording or video shoots to ensure correct and smooth narration/delivery of scripts.
- Review and quality check videos to suggest corrections to ensure the video lessons are of thebest quality.
- Actively participate in team meetings and maintain cohesion with the rest of the English Editors.
Content Editor (Nepali)
- Edit the language and flow of scripts for a variety of subjects and academic levels that will be used to create video lessons and other educational materials in both English and Nepali.
- Translate various content, particularly school-level curriculum materials from English to Nepali while preserving the original essence.
- Conduct in-depth research on various aspects of Nepalese festivals, culture, and create and edit informative content
- Perform quality and plagiarism check of the script content to ensure that the subject matter is correct and original.
- Collaborate with and give advice to content writers to improve the quality of scripts.
- Provide input to animators to make video lessons more engaging and entertaining for learners.
- Perform a quality check of videos for errors to ensure the video lessons are of the highest quality.
- Actively participate in team meetings and maintain cohesion with the rest of the members of the Content department.
Required skills and competencies
- Excellent command of Nepali and English.
- Excellent English to Nepali translation skills without changing the tone and essence
- Good command in research and comprehension
- Ability to communicate effectively with various members of the organisation.
- Sense of responsibility for the deadlines and objectives of various projects.
- Ability to type in Nepali – Unicode or Preeti (for Content Editor – Nepali)
- Ownership of the quality of work that is expected of them.
- Willingness to take up new roles and responsibilities when needed.
- Organisational skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at a time within deadlines.
Note:
- Candidates should have completed a Master's degree preferably in Communications, English or Nepali with at least 2 years of work experience in a related field.
