Objectives of conducting this assignment:

The overall objective of the training is to increase the capacity of PNGOs on Positive Deviance Hearth (PD-Hearth) knowledge and skills to facilitate training to Community local volunteer to conduct PD-Hearth sessions.

Scope of work:

The training will start in 1st week of March at Udayapur District.

Major Scopes of work are:   

• Facilitate the training on PD-Hearth ToF, and will do the necessary preparation as required.   
• For all necessary preparations for training, trainer will consult with Health and Nutrition Focal Person of HURENDEC Udayapur Health and Nutrition focal point or additional support required to this training.
• The trainer will responsible to handle the entire training, develop training methodology and training packages necessary for the training that include relevant training contents, methodology, handouts etc and provide e-copy of those documents. 
• The training should be conducted as per the PD-Hearth training Manual of World Vision International, Nepal. 
• The Resource Person shall submit the training completion report within 10 days of training completion. 

Timeline:

• The duration of the assignment will be 11 days from the start date in which 9 days for facilitation of the training & 2 days for preparation & report writing. 

Expected Outcomes:

Major expected outcomes are

• Trainees will have improved understanding of PD-Hearth model and be able to facilitate the PD-Hearth training at PNGO staff level.
• Trainees are equipped with tools and skills to enable them for facilitating the cascade level of training. 

Qualification and experience required:

The Resource Person is expected to have the following expertise, qualification and experience especially for PD-Hearth context.

• At least Master Degree on Public Health, Social Science or relevant field and at least bachelor degree on Public health, Social science for Co-Facilitator. 
• Previous experiences in delivering training are must.
• Must have completed MTOT on PD-Hearth.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the field of Health and Nutrition with experience on capacity building. 

Nature of the consultancy (Individual or Team): This consultancy is expected to be an individual with one Co-Facilitator

Field visits required: Frequent field visit in Day 2, Day 3 and Day 5 as per PD-Hearth training schedule. 

Payment Modality: The agreed amount shall be disbursed in one instalment after receiving of training report.
