Job Description

The purpose of this role is to support the Nepal Country Office management in keeping with the good science on which our conservation delivery is founded. The post holder will be responsible for all field-based research and monitoring activities focusing mainly on species, habitat, and ecosystem conservation and management using established methodologies with data analysis, publications, maintenance of datasets, and coordination with ZSL HQ scientists. The post holder will also be responsible for leading development of projects that are evidence-based and underpinned by conservation science.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead on the data management, analysis, reports and publications
  • Technical capacity building of ZSL and partner staff
  • Support developing of project concepts and proposals
  • Project design and implementation especially the research component
  • Maintain relationships with Government and other NGO partners
