Position Title: Community Development and Outreach Intern

Work Hours and Duration: 4 months (Mon to Fri, 5 days a week) – Possibility of full-time after performance review

Payment: Will be provided only a Monthly Stipend

 Job Description:

  • Perform duties relating to rural community development as per the vision of the organization
  • Prepare formal letters, briefs, and presentation for different stakeholders
  • Engage in public and private partnership for development of community
  • Communicate with central and district local level stakeholders
  • Prepare work completion reports for management and internal team
  • Build network with different community members and education institutions
  • Provide and facilitate training and orientation targeted to children, adolescent, community, local and central level stakeholders
  • Increase awareness to the public in rural areas and reach a wide range of audience
  • Travel to rural areas of Nepal; support and gather information with Research team
  • Conduct and brainstorm fundraising activities for the organization
  • Participate in monitoring of activities after implementation
  • Conduct promotional work for the organization as required with different clients and stakeholders
  • Liaison with communication personnel to finalize work prior to field visit
  • Other as assigned by management
  • The position will report directly to the Research team

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's completed or HIGHER in Social work, Rural Development, or any Social Sciences degree
  • Excellent verbal Nepali and English
  • Previous experience in outreach work, community development, community level volunteerism will be given preference
  • Should be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task
  • Should be able to brainstorm ideas
  • Should have excellent organization and communication skills
  • Should be able to take criticism provided on work conducted and adapt to it immediately
  • Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent computer literacy, including in MS Office
  • Should be able to formulate emails and letters
  • Open to travel to rural areas of Nepal with minimal amenities
  • Should be open to work flexible schedule as per need
