As part of a dynamic team, the Communications Program Officer (PO) will support the Nepal Office’s target technical programs, as well as the Foundation’s Regional Governance Unit (RGU). In Nepal, the PO will provide support to the communications needs of the Data for Development program (phase II). The aim of the multi-year (April 2020 - Dec, 2023) program is to develop data and information ecosystems at the provincial and local spheres with local stakeholders who have the knowledge and capabilities to demand, produce and use data for evidence-based decision-making that addresses local development challenges. As part of the country-specific work, the PO’s key role will be to assist the Country Representative, Deputy Country Representative, and Directors in strategic communications and outreach of TAF Nepal’s program results and achievements. Working under the supervision of D4D Project Director, the PO will also be expected:
The PO will be responsible for managing, coordinating, monitoring, and providing technical assistance for the Foundation's programs on peacebuilding, subnational governance, including data governance, rule of law/legal reform and human rights.
As a member of the TAF Nepal team, the PO will support communications of TAF’s wider governance portfolio. In particular, the PO may manage the publication of the quarterly GovAsia issues and associated communications products.
