  1. Shangri-La Development Association (SDA) is a non-government, not-for-profit organization established by Youths for community development in 2014 A.D. SDA has been making community interventions since the inception of the organization. To date, SDA has conducted Shangri-La Sustainable Local Initiative Project (SSLI, SSLI-I, SSLI-II, SSLI-III, SSLI-IV), School Building Reconstruction and Education Support Project (SBRES), Shangri-La Reconstruction and Development Project (SRDP) and One Time Support Project (OTSP). All the other projects done were incorporated in such a way that it supports the SSLI project and strengthens the interventions. Shangri-La Sustainable Local Initiative Project 5 (SSLI5) is a three-year project of the Shangri-La Association(SA), Switzerland / Govinda Association(GA), Germany, and SDA. The target project areas are Karnali Higher Secondary School, Anamnagar, Jumla, and Kailash Rural Municipality of Makwanpur district. SSLI targets two villages (Kalikatar and Bharta) of Makwanpur where approx. 1800 Chepang people live in 246 households. Apart from these, 40 deaf children in Jumla are the targeted beneficiaries through Jumla Special Children Project (JSCP). These children come from all over Karnali Region as the school with the support of SDA has the best possible facilities and support.

Job Description

  • To ensure proper documentation and effectiveness, it is important to maintain a social media database in google drive
  • Create, write, and edit the content for the organization's benefit, including the SDA standard and requirements
  • Ensure the social media platform is up to date and the content remains relevant on the website and other platforms
  • Support and assist the partner organizations in fundraising in an impactful way by collecting and gathering information required from team members.
  • Create a robust and dynamic online presence of SDA across multiple platforms, such as blogs, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter), YouTube, Podcasts, and the organization's website
  • Communicate and cooperate with the team the organization for developing content for social media and reports
  • Responsible to deliver quality content pieces that appeal to donors, attract partner organizations and help to boost the awareness of the reader

  • A scheduled field visit is necessary to manage the different projects that have been implemented in the project area
  • Conduct in-depth research on the organization’s projects to develop original content

Note: Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field combined with experience in similar positions in development sectors.
