Job Title: Communication Coordinator
Reports to: Communication Manager

Location: Kathmandu based (Willing to travel within Nepal. This position requires mostly visit to Teach For Nepal Fellows Schools in rural Nepal and generate multimedia contents (audio, visual) suitable for all the communications materials used by the organization.)
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor degree related to Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or Media or any relevant area
- Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in communication (esp. designing, editing, video editing and social media handling) role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Proficiency in handling DSLR cameras, and sound equipment. Ability to take photographs and videos, including excellent editing skill.
- Proficiency in softwares’ like Microsoft Office Packages, Adobe Suite and audio video editing softwares.
Job Purpose: In charge of curating, documenting and managing Teach For Nepal's Fellows' and alums work.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Serve in creating multimedia contents and documentation for TFN (60%)
- Identify, analyze and build strategy to document the work of TFN Fellows and share in social media content
- Create informative and powerful content that advocates for education equity and excellence mainly via press releases; contents regarding events and impact on Fellows, communities and students
- Create creative stories (videos/written) across social media platforms
- Develop scripts of impactful activities done by Fellows; questionnaires for interviews; shoot/edit videos of the placement schools.
- Generate engaging text, image, and video content to sustain the audiences’ curiosity and ignite a buzz around activities and events of the organization.
- Conduct audience research to determine preferences and be up-to-date with current trends.
2. Fundraising and Recruitment specific Content creation (20%)
- Engage in designing communications materials based on the need of the fundraising and recruitment team (Designing organization’s publications and marketing materials
3. Documentation of Fellow’s - Alumni work (T&S) (10%)
- Communicate effectively with Teach For Nepal’s Fellow and Alumni timely as well as different stakeholders at placement schools, with a knowledge of process oriented work and document their work timely.
- Coordinate and communicate with Leadership Development Manager of Teach For Nepal and get updates about Fellow’s progress and design them into communications materials
4. Research and Knowledge building (5%)
- Follow current trends and changes in the various social platforms to ensure maximum effectiveness.
- Ability to anticipate and use future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
5. Managing Interns: (5%)
- Help and manage communication interns get their work on a timely basis.

Competencies:
- Demonstrates high level of TFN’s core values and understanding of TFN’s mission and Theory of Change
- An understanding of nonprofit communications to multiple donor audiences and a strong working knowledge of fundraising principles are a plus.
- Detail oriented with excellent editing/proofreading skills and ability to produce error-free work
- Strong designing and editing skills (creative and persuasive) with a track record of creating and editing traditional and social media content.
- Ability to engage the audience in social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of and adherence to writing style required.
- Excellent communication skills, both in English and Nepali language (verbal and written)
