Key to this is that women and girls are entitled to live with dignity, without fear and as equal partners in society. Restless Development strives to enhance the rights and status of women and girls through addressing issues such as sexual and gender based violence (SGBV), school retention, menstrual health management and child, early and forced marriage. 

Restless Development Nepal has been implementing the programmes to end GBV and harmful social norms since a decade. For the prevention of GBV cases, we have been capacitating the young people as ‘young leaders’ and they have been rigorously engaging with their peers and the community people including teachers, community leaders, police, religious leaders and many more. We empower the women and girls to have a voice on the issues that concern them and their communities. Recognizing the relationship between poverty and sexual health for women in particular, our work focuses on economic empowerment of women and girls.

Communication and Partnership Officer

Location: Based in Kathmandu

Salary: NRS. 587,698 gross per annum

Preferred start date: 1st June, 2019

Length of contract: 1 year, initially, with strong possibility of extension based on performance

Visa requirements: Only those with valid work permit to work in Nepal

Reports to: Manager, Communications & Partnership

Direct reports: Communications and Partnerships Intern

Expected travel Field: travel will be required (approximately 20%), including the project districts

Job Overview:

We know young people have the power to solve the challenges we face in our world, but they are being ignored and overlooked. We are the agency that works with young people so they can lead in solving those challenges. Whether that means supporting communities to end child marriage or prevent HIV, we work with young people to change their lives and the lives of people in their communities. 

Our programmer are genuinely life-changing, but can’t do any of this without talented, creative individuals at every level of our organisation.

Restless Development Nepal is currently seeking a dynamic, socially active and outgoing Communication & Partnership Officer for energetic and outstanding Communication & Partnership unit. We are seeking a self-motivated, interesting and vibrant young person to work as part of our bright team and help us with this exciting fundraising initiative.
