Job Description

New Millennium College seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, and solutions-focused individual with excellent networking and engagement skills who has the vision, energy, and leadership skills to implement the College. The Principal holds a critical position as the instructional, organizational, and cultural leader of the college and will work closely with various departments to ensure all college-based staff and students are set up for success. He or she will assist the college principal in providing effective leadership to college faculty, staff, and students in all areas of the college’s program and responsibilities. The Principal ensures that the college maintains high education standards, complies with regulatory requirements, fosters a positive learning environment, and advances the institution's mission and goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the college’s strategic plan in alignment with the institution’s mission and vision.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance academic quality, student success, and faculty development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching, learning, and administration.

Academic Management

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty to promote research, scholarship, and academic excellence.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure the delivery of high-quality education.
  • Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary, according to the due process rights of the students

Administration and Operations

  • Manage the college’s financial resources, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and evaluation of faculty and staff.
  • Ensure effective management of college facilities, technology, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that promote efficient and effective operations.

Community and External Relations

  • Represent the college in the community and build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Foster partnerships with other educational institutions, industry, and government agencies.

Student Affairs

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Address student concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • Oversee student support services, including counseling, career guidance, and extracurricular activities.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in college governance.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Board of Trustees or Governing Body to ensure effective governance of the college.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the Board on college performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree.
  • At least 4-7 years of experience in educational leadership or administration, with a proven track record of success in managing academic programs and leading institutional changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching and administrative experience in urban schools and colleges.
  • Experience in college and school schedules.
  • Experience in remediation of student adjustment and discipline needs.
  • Knowledgeable of conflict resolution models.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in curriculum planning and effective instructional practices.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and resource management.
