Job Description

  • To oversee the planning, curriculum development and implementation of curriculum in the school
  • To model effective lessons and instructional strategies (may include teaching occasionally in the class)
  • To observe classroom instruction, give feedback to the teachers and use this to develop training plans
  • To assist in developing and conducting assessments
  • To analyze student data and feedback into instructional practices and student learning outcomes
  • To oversee goal setting for students and teachers
  • To identify areas where teachers need support and provide intervention as required
  • To oversee the collection and analysis of student data
  • To ensure student attendance through the year
  • To minimize dropout rate for students
  • To work closely with the principal on a daily basis to ensure the smooth overall operation of the school
  • To Teach classes, develop rapport with the students, handling discipline issues and filling in for the principal when required
  • To Direct assemblies and other special gatherings of students for events throughout the year
  • To handle security and emergency planning for the school
