Duration: Duration: 2 months (52 working days)
Period: November 2025 – February 2026

Objectives

The Clinical Consultant will provide technical support in enhancing the quality of clinical nutrition services within the broader health system through onsite coaching, mentoring, and quality assurance support to clinical staff at the Outpatient Therapeutic Centers (OTCs) and health facilities.

The Clinical Support Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Implementing clinical onsite coaching and mentoring to health facility staff.
  • Introducing and applying Quality Assurance and Improvement checklists related to nutrition-specific interventions, CBIMNCI, and MNH.
  • Identifying knowledge and skill gaps of the service providers, equipment needs, and service readiness issues at the health facilities.
  • Supporting the development of action plans for health facilities, the Municipality, and PNGO teams to follow up.
  • Strengthening service quality through hands-on, practical coaching and mentoring to ensure staff can apply protocols effectively in real clinical settings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/PCL in nursing or related health field. For the Bachelor level, at least 3 years’ experience, and for the PCL level, at least 5 years of experience.
  • Training in MNH coaching, CB-IMNCI, IMAM, and nutrition-specific interventions.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in MNCH and nutrition programs.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and quality assurance.
  • Good facilitation skills in Nepali and in the local language.
