Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer & Surveyor specializing in hydropower construction and operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the civil engineering and surveying activities for our hydropower projects, ensuring that all construction and operational activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and manage the collection of field data related to hydropower construction projects.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of civil engineering plans, including the construction of dams, tunnels, and other hydropower-related structures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure the successful execution of hydropower projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team during the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, designs, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform quality control inspections and ensure that all work adheres to project specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential challenges during construction and operation.
  • Manage and maintain surveying equipment and ensure the accuracy of all survey data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master's degree will be an added advantage.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • More than 5 years of experience in civil engineering and surveying, specifically in hydropower projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards related to hydropower.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Total Station, SWDTM, GIS). 
  • Be able to plot cross-section of tunnel and quantity analysis. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to stay and work at project sites.
