Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of road construction projects, including planning, design coordination, supervision, quality control, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in roadworks, materials, and construction techniques, and be capable of managing both technical and on-site challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage road construction projects from inception to completion.
Review and interpret project designs, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare and monitor work schedules, progress reports, and cost estimates.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure effective use of materials, equipment, and labor resources.
Monitor and control project budgets and timelines.
Prepare project documentation including reports, records, and as-built drawings.
Resolve site issues and implement corrective actions when needed.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant local and national regulations.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with 3 Years of experience in road construction.
Must have knowledge of preparing and reviewing variation Orders.After the variation order, prepare the site bill.
Should be familiar with HBL Drawings and their interpretation.
Strong knowledge of road design standards, construction methods, and materials.
Proficient in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project).
Good understanding of construction safety standards and practices.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in remote project sites and under pressure.
Registration with a recognized engineering board is an added advantage.
