Himalayan Ridge Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is an engineering firm located in Kathmandu, Nepal, dedicated to outsourcing structural calculations and engineering drawings. We have been operating since August 2019 and have successfully completed over 6K+ projects, including Walk-in Coolers and Freezers, Residential Log Homes, DIY SIP panel Residential Homes, various Steeples, Domes, Cupolas, Towers, Spires and Crosses. We analyze structures using materials such as Steel, Aluminum, Concrete, Wood, Engineered Wood, and factory-made materials like Polyurethane foam panels.

Position: Civil Engineer with Structural Focus (Revit Structure Software)

EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Proficiency in Revit is required.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is strongly preferred.
Experience in the field of structural engineering-related drafting is preferred.
Familiarity with reviewing and/or preparing construction documents is preferred.
Basic knowledge/experience level of understanding of how structures are built which should include all construction types, structural materials, and fasteners.
Ability to perform basic drafting and modeling tasks to create construction documents.
Entry-level communication skills with engineers, internal team, and clients.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with Revit Structure Software to create and manage detailed structural models.
Perform structural calculations for a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings.
Collaborate with our team to ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering drawings and calculation packets.
Analyze and design various structural elements, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed
Implement redlines from engineers, team manager, and clients to modify and create details and construction documents.
Must be able to gather enough information though questions/meetings at the start of a project to produce a 30% review set with minimal guidance from an engineer.
Coordinate with engineers and team leader to ensure the drawings meet the design requirements and project objectives.
Take verbal directions and apply that direction to the production of construction documents accurately.
Recognize structural or constructability issues present in construction documents, and work with Team Leader and engineer to resolve these issues.
Work independently and in collaboration with design and engineering teams is essential.
