Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

We are looking for an innovative Civil Engineer to design, develop, and construct a wide range of data center projects, from conception through to completion. This role involves contributing to the development of the physically and naturally built environment, working in a fast-growing and dynamic industry, contributing towards healthy economies, and making a lasting positive impact on the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other).
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
  • Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
  • Provide advice and creatively resolve any emerging problems/deficiencies.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.
  • Monitor progress and compile reports on project status.
  • Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations, including permits, safety, etc., and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Master/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in building design construction, with a focus on data centers or critical environments.
  • Certifications:
              - NEC certification is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in building design software (e.g., AutoCAD), MS Office, project scheduling (MS Project), structure analysis and design (ETABS/SAFE), and a strong understanding of data center requirements.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and best practices for energy efficiency in data centers.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Proven working experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
  • Project management and supervision skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to data center sites for inspections, meetings, and audits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and multiple projects.
  • Fixed-Term Contract: 2 Years (with potential for extension).
