Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Technical:

Develop construction cost estimates using InnoCSR’s GRS technology (Good Road System- Soil Stabilized Road).
Develop and prepare GRS design drawings, design reports, technical and materials specifications.
Maintaining quality control and quality standards in all GRS road site construction.
Using initiative to ensure the work processes, procedures and systems are effective and efficient.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
In depth knowledge of the GRS technology, including client expectations, geotechnical conditions, standards and codes.
Support GBS (Good Bricks System) team in Civil Engineering aspects of construction, brick quality and usages.
Support other Civil Engineering matters for the company and its clients
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.
Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs and Layout.
Undertaking complex calculations.
Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors.
Resolving design and development problems.
Managing budgets and resources.
Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries.
Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety.
Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of technology

Managerial Role:

Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and conduct sales meetings.
Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients & contractors.
written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills in both English and Nepalese.
Communicating effectively at all levels for collaborative work practices and achievement.
Ability to multitask and prioritize your workload.
Ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals
Work & report directly to CEO.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or above in Civil Engineering or MSc in transportation with at least 5 years of experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound knowledge of Road Design, Building, Road bidding process.
Experience in dealing with contractors.
Ability to Sell a new technology.
Analytic and punctual.
Sound mathematical, scientific and IT skills.
The ability to think methodically and to manage projects.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets.
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills.
Complete knowledge of relevant legislation.
