Position: Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) 
Reporting To: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer 
Department: Technology and IT
Number of Requirements: 1

Purpose: 
To provide strategic leadership and ensure the seamless execution of Technology and IT strategies, enhancing customer experience, driving digital business models, and maximizing return on capital investment and transforming the company from a Telco to a Techco.

Main responsibility areas:

  • Develop and implement the Technology and IT strategy, vision, and roadmap, aligning with business objectives for both short-term and long-term objectives and digital engagement models.
  • Positively impact the organization's financial performance by enhancing customer experience, fostering employee engagement, leveraging cost innovation, and maximizing return on invested capital (ROIC).
  • Provide overall supervision, direction, and control for technology and information decisions, considering the latest trends in technology, digitization, regulatory frameworks, device ecosystems, user preferences, customer experience, and cybersecurity.
  • Proactively lead the transformation of the organization from a Telco to a technology-driven enterprise (TechCo), ready to meet future Technology and IT challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop organizational capability and business processes for effective planning, Technology and IT architecture, application and system development, rollout, time to market, service delivery, operations support, cross-functional coordination, quality control, and vendor governance.
  • Develop mechanisms to measure service quality, KPIs, control systems, and the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures.
  • Monitor and analyze technology performance metrics to identify areas for improvements.
  • Ensure a customer-first approach, emphasizing customer empowerment, ease of use, and digitization and integrate customer feedback into technology planning. 
  • Deliver superior customer experience and user interface (UI/UX).
  • Continuously evolve the organization and its capabilities to meet annual business challenges.
  • Ensure high employee engagement, fostering a passion for excellence and success in the marketplace.
  • Formulate long-range plans and annual business plans (Capex/Opex).
  • Create value through technology to improve revenue, reduce costs, and maximize ROIC.
  • Manage vendor development and governance frameworks.
  • Establish and enhance quality engagement with strategic partners and suppliers, ensuring effective partner governance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor in Engineering / Bachelor in Technology in a relevant field or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in similar capacity with leadership and strategy direction to Tech/ IT, and other managerial roles in telecom, IT and electronic industries. 
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Technology and IT functions with demonstrated experience in digital transformation and managing multicultural teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications networks, IT infrastructure, software development and cybersecurity.
