Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief of Party will be responsible for the overall management and representation of the activity
S/he will manage a team of senior staff, sub-recipients, and engagement with stakeholders to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the cooperative agreement
This role will serve as the principal institutional liaison to the donor and local government entities
S/he also provides strategic leadership and supervision of sub-grantees and sub-contractors while ensuring the security, feasibility, and sustainability of the program and contribution to Child wellbeing outcomes
Mandatory travels to implementation sites and regional, global meetings as required

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

Master’s degree in development studies, international relations, agriculture, nutrition, public health, business administration, or related field combined with a minimum of seven years of progressively increasing management responsibility in international relief/recovery/DRR projects is required
Knowledge of and familiarity with international assistance program requirements, preferably USAID Office of Food for Peace (FFP) policies, rules and regulations
Proven ability in the management of large integrated projects in developing countries
Familiarity with USAID programs, their history and their development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs
Familiarity with the Upper Nile Nepal context is a plus
Demonstrated accomplishment in working with host-country professionals, ministries and with donor colleagues in country
Experience as a Chief of Party/DCoP/Program Director or senior advisor roles is required
Should have demonstrated experience in recruiting, developing, and managing staff, as well as experience managing programmatic and financial reporting

Core competencies for all the positions:

Must have previous experience of managing USAID grants successfully
At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing and managing large and complex projects involving multiple partners, in/for developing countries
Excellent oral and written English & Nepali
Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office
Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility
Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently
Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills
Good understanding of humanitarian Sector

Note :

All the positions are based in National Office- World Vision International Nepal, Lalitpur
These positions are contingent upon the successful acquisition of the Grant.
