Roles and responsibilities of this job

Reporting line: Investment Committee/Board of Directors

The major responsibilities of CIM are:

Strategic Role

Formulate Short term/long term goal for the company
Raise fund as per the set goal; seek required support of BOD/Promoters/Financial Advisor
Establish investment strategies that are best for the organization's goal
Create deal flows of potential investment projects/investment deals
Develop strategy to identify new sources of capital and/or relationships to meet the goal
Build relationship with stakeholders in PE ecosystem including but not limited to banks, financial institutions, investors, regulators, industry leaders

Project Management Role

Manage and coordinate functions of the Financial Advisor
As decided by the BOD, represent in the board of the Investee Company
Build required team to assist CEOs/Managers of the investee companies to achieve the investment objective
Ensure proper co-ordination with CEOs and managers of each project for smooth project operation and achieve investment goal
Assist and monitor the project company for required operating decisions
Regularly update the Board and Promoters about the project progress
Require and monitor to ensure good corporate governance and good business practices by the investee company
Prepare the actual expense record of financial transactions while investing in the projects
Ensure adequate financial and social impact monitoring of projects undertaken
Ensure independent financial and compliance review of the investee company Reporting Role
Ensure that investment performance is routinely assessed and that reports are prepared on a timely basis for the internal function and for investors
Prepare and report projects performance in accordance to initial investment documents approved by the board
Prepare and report the financial status of the Venture Fund and of the invested projects to the board on monthly basis

Operations Role

Manage day to day operations of the company
Conduct internal external financial audit of the company
Conduct AGM of the Company and comply with applicable regulatory provisions

Marketing/Networking Role

Have an active engagement with investors/DFIs/Entrepreneurs and scout new opportunities for the company
Build strong relationship with potential investors and pitch investment proposals as and when needed
Lead Branding and Marketing of the fund

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 10 years

Demonstrate exceptional leadership ability and entrepreneur skills in driving the company forward
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth understanding of financial market, industry drivers, latest trends, changes & standard market arrangements.
Master's degree in Business/Finance/Economics/CFA/CA/ACCA or related field
10+years of professional experience working in areas of Investments, Banking, Project Management, Financial Consulting or Advisory with proven track record.
