1. Educational Background

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA Finance preferred).

  • Hands-on experience managing multi-sector operations (e.g., construction, trading, manufacturing, IT, hospitality).

  • Expertise in fund flow planning, credit management, and cost control.

Job Description

As we move into our next phase of consolidation and sustainable growth, Emerald Group is seeking a strategic yet execution-focused CFC to drive financial discipline, ensure liquidity optimization, and strengthen the financial structure of our existing companies.

Role Summary

The CFC will be responsible for driving financial control, stability, and efficiency across all operating companies under the Group. This role demands a highly practical and hands-on finance leader who can optimize internal resources, streamline cash flow, enforce discipline in collections and payments, and ensure that each unit is financially self-sustaining through better controls and intelligent fund utilization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strengthening of Existing Companies

  • Identify weaknesses and gaps in financial performance across business units.
  • Develop turnaround or optimization plans for underperforming units.
  • Implement policies that improve margins, reduce leakages, and increase return on investment (ROI).
  • Establish profit center reporting for accountability and performance tracking.
  • Establish a proper plan for cost control throughout the organization.

2. Fund Management and Internal Liquidity Optimization

  • Ensure optimal utilization of internal funds across group companies without over-reliance on external debt.
  • Centralize and monitor daily/weekly cash flow across units.
  • Maintain sufficient working capital within each business unit through internal planning.
  • Enforce fund flow discipline between receivables and payables.

3. Credit Control and Receivables Management

  • Design and implement effective credit control policies.
  • Establish clear credit limits and approval protocols.
  • Drive timely collection of receivables through direct coordination with sales, business heads, and clients.
  • Reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and improve cash-to-cash cycle.

4. Payment Control and Prioritization

  • Implement a robust and transparent payment approval system.
  • Prioritize essential operational payments to ensure smooth business continuity.
  • Monitor and manage vendor dues with proper scheduling and communication.
  • Introduce payment discipline within all departments.

5. Banking and Treasury Management

  • Oversee and optimize usage of existing bank facilities (OD, LC, BG, term loans).
  • Ensure interest obligations and repayment schedules are met without delays.
  • Build strong relationships with banking partners to maintain flexibility.
  • Monitor financial covenants and banking compliance.

6. Compliance, Audit, and Risk Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with NFRS, IRD guidelines, VAT, TDS, and all regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors across group companies.
  • Establish a financial risk register and mitigation strategy.
  • Implement strong internal controls to avoid revenue and cost leakages.

7. Team Leadership and Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounts team across companies.
  • Establish a reporting culture that values accuracy, speed, and accountability.
  • Champion the adoption of ERP and digital tools to modernize finance operations.
