  • Strong understanding of Nepalese financial markets, credit and risk management, and NRB regulatory framework.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for leading the overall strategic, operational, and financial performance of the NBFC. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement the company’s vision, ensure compliance with Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and other Regulator’s regulations, and drive sustainable growth while managing risk and fostering a culture of performance, ethics, and customer service.

Industry: Non-Banking Financial Corporation (NBFC)

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans aligned with the company’s vision and mission.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and innovative financial products.
  • Drive business growth by identifying and onboarding importer companies, especially those dealing in transport vehicles, consumer electronics, mobile phones etc.
  • Oversee the development of annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing management team.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, excellence, and employee engagement.
  •  Ensure effective HR policies, succession planning, and capacity building.

Operational Management

  • Lead and oversee daily operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  •  Implement systems and controls to support high-quality customer service, risk management, and operational compliance.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with all NRB directives, financial regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulators and the Board.
  • Promote transparency, integrity, and accountability throughout the organization.

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet, capital adequacy, and asset quality.
  • Manage funding, liquidity, and investment strategies effectively.
  • Oversee credit risk management, including approval frameworks and recovery mechanisms.

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain effective relationships with shareholders, regulators, financial institutions, partners, and clients.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, regulatory meetings, and with external stakeholders.
