Job Description

Leadership Role:

  • To manage and direct the overall operation of the company.
  • To lead and supervise employment decisions at the executive level of the company.
  • To lead a team of all departments to consider major decisions including legal, marketing, claim, account, RI and underwriting.
  • To promote communication and co-operation among divisions to create a spirit of unity in the organization.
  • To serve as the company’s representative to the board of directors, shareholders, customers, the government, and the public.


  • To works with the board of directors and other executives to establish short-term and long-range goals along with related plans and policies.
  • To collaborate with reinsurance execution and other members of the reinsurance solutions team in the early design of reinsurance structures (such as new pool rebids) to understand and influence the intended structure, offer perspective on potential challenges, and provide guidance on alternative approaches that minimize treaty and administration complexity. 
  • To establish and maintain strong communication with the reinsurance execution team to ensure right alignment and clarity of business requirements.
  • To supervise in the design, negotiation and renewal of reinsurance treaties in line with the business needs and regulatory guidelines.
  • To assist in delivering effective reinsurance services to the business in line with the company reinsurance philosophy.
  • To ensure that the company complies with all regulatory and statutory requirements. 
  • To develop and implement effective MIS & IT System as per industry requirement. 
  • To present regular reports on the status of the company’s operations to the management of the company and board of directors.
  • To oversee the organizations financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the company.
  • To review the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company’s objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
  • To ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
  • To perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.


  • Minimum Master Degree in management economics, insurance, law, mathematics, statistics or engineering; or Chartered Accountancy with Bachelor's degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • At least 15 years experience in insurance/ re-insurance/ broker company, having overall knowledge in Accounts, Marketing, Legal, RI, Claim & Underwriting.
  • A candidate with prior experience in Reinsurance or Reinsurance Broker company would be highly preferred.
  • Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader.
  • Excellent managerial skills as per current industrial practice and ability to take leadership on overall business operations.

Performance Agreement: A Performance agreement with the Board of Directors shall be made before the appointment.

Remuneration and facilities: Negotiable as per the company's policy and regulator's directives.
