Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in a managerial or higher level position in a financial institution
  • Proven track record in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
  • Strong understanding of Business Finance and Financial Operations
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, risk management and human resources management 
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders including, Board members, investors, regulators, bankers and industry associations 
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles  
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
  • Over 3 years of experience in a start-up/Fintech environment
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills 
  • Analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, excellent communication and public speaking aptitudes  


Job Description

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be fully responsible for the strategy and growth of the company, which includes building a scalable team, ensuring continued business growth, cultivating partnerships and effective investor relations.

This role further includes:

  • Development of the company’s short, medium, and long-term strategy;
  • Recommendation and support to Board in revision of vision, mission and core values;
  • Cultivation of culture in the organization where every employee lives up with core values;
  • Acquiring strategic and financial partners/investors;
  • Overseeing business operations to ensure effective procedures and policies (operational and financial);
  • Prepare, own and achieve annual operating plans and 3-5-year plan along with financial and non-financial KPIs;
  • Recruiting and developing the best talent for the company;
  • Representing the company in conferences, events, etc. and establishing strategic partnerships;
  • Overseeing financial reporting, accounts, controls, taxation, audits and regulatory compliance;
  • Work with the Board to create strategy roadmaps for each function;
  • Coach the heads of different functions to achieve organizational goals within set timelines;
  • Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits;
  • Presenting accurate periodic performance reports to the board, investors and promoters;
  • Managing overall investor relationships;
  • Analyse risks and problematic circumstances, their occurrences;
  • Ensuring management and timely mitigation of all risks associated with business;
  • Establish a data-driven business case for all new initiatives;
  • Help prioritize business development efforts and execute them with confidence;
  • Maintain a deep knowledge base of the FinTech markets and industry and keep close relationships with relevant stakeholders;
  • Experience with, and focus on leveraging automation and software to standardize, speed up and improve the quality of core processes;
  • Develop monitoring and tracking of budgets and long-range financial forecasts;
  • Serve as a mentor for current and future employees;
