Job Description

Chief Accountant is the head of the Accounts & Finance Department of CE Construction P. Ltd. His/ Her scope of work is as follows:

Manages and supervises the overall operation of Accounts and Finance Department of the company.
Oversees the HR management of the department.
Supervises operation related to the Vendors and maintains goodwill with all the vendors
Oversees the cash flow management of the company – cash analysis, reporting, approving payment vouchers
Oversees the activities associated for the timely preparation of running bill, follow up internally/externally for recovery
Identifies various sources for cash inflow or for fund management
Maintains relation with financial institutions and administers all banking liaison and transactions relating to cheques, drafts, cash, letter of credits, letters of guarantees, request and maintenance of banking facilities and ensures that banking services are provided at the most economical rates for the company.
Monitors and ensures the profitability of the construction project through Contract Account.
Responsible for Tax Accounting and Tax Planning.
Prepares financial statements (Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow) and other reports
Liaises and collaborates with other departments/divisions and external parties – vendors, clients, government bodies, partners and stakeholders
Prepares financial budgets after coordination with department heads, presents to the management and obtains approvals; periodically assesses variations of actual expenditure in comparison with the approved budget and provides management reports
Coordinates with company auditors to provide data and clarifications on the financials, in order for them to perform and complete audits. Ensures that auditors’ recommendations are implemented in a timely manner
Analyzes reports and updates management about the company’s financial details.
Responsible for following the statutory compliance and corporate governance.
Develops & implements strategies and action plans for the department.
