The Executive Search Unit of Merojob, on behalf of its client, is looking for an exceptional and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our multi-faceted organization in the cement, hydroelectric, and construction industries. The CEO will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s strategic vision, overseeing operations, and ensuring financial growth and compliance. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can align diverse business functions to drive sustainability and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders while enhancing the company’s market position.

Visionary Leadership:

Develop and execute a long-term strategy that aligns with the company’s mission, drives profitability, and enhances shareholder value across the cement, hydro, and construction sectors.
Lead the company’s overall operations, ensuring all departments and functions are aligned with strategic goals and operating efficiently.
Drive innovation, transformation, and market positioning, establishing the company as a leader in the industries it serves.
Build a high-performance organizational culture that fosters growth, accountability, and excellence.

Strategic Investment and Financial Management:

Oversee the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic investments across multiple industries, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and risk profile.
Present detailed financial and strategic analyses to the Board, optimizing investment portfolios and managing capital expenditures.
Ensure sustainable business growth by managing assets, investments, and divestitures strategically to increase value and minimize risks.
Work closely with the finance team to develop robust financial models, cash flow projections, and a transparent reporting mechanism.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, regulatory bodies, industry leaders, and local communities.
Represent the company in high-level negotiations, ensuring that the company’s interests and values are well represented.
Foster strategic partnerships and business opportunities to enhance the company’s market presence and long-term growth.

Governance and Compliance:

Ensure the company adheres to the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance with all local and international regulations.
Report regularly to the Board of Directors on operational performance, governance, risk management, and compliance issues.
Establish and enforce policies and procedures that foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior.

Operational Excellence:

Lead the development and execution of the company’s annual business plan, ensuring it aligns with long-term strategic goals and market conditions.
Oversee the implementation of best practices in all business areas, including project development, construction management, finance, and operations.
Guide the human capital strategy, ensuring the attraction, retention, and development of top talent to support the company’s growth and success.
Drive continuous improvement in operational and financial performance, ensuring the company remains competitive and agile in the marketplace.

Industry-Specific Expertise:

Leverage in-depth knowledge of the cement, hydro, and construction industries to navigate regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific environmental, health, and safety regulations, particularly in hydropower and construction projects.
Stay informed of industry advancements and technological innovations, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of market trends and environmental practices.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 10 years

Other Specification

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the cement, hydro, and/or construction industries, with at least 1 years in a CEO or top executive role.
Proven track record of managing complex projects, portfolios, and multi-disciplinary teams in infrastructure and large-scale development projects.
Expertise in capital markets, financial analysis, investment management, and risk mitigation within the infrastructure sector.
Demonstrated success in fostering strategic partnerships and navigating government regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience with Joint Ventures (JVs), subcontracting, or international partnerships in large infrastructure projects.
Experience with the technical and financial aspects of hydropower projects, including project development, financing, and operational management.
