Our Goal is to build a Vocational Training Center in the Solu-Khumbu Region, providing local teenagers (age 15+) with the practical technical skills needed to find a job locally, enabling them to stay in the Region and support their families. Several courses will be proposed, on specific fields, such as :

Construction & Building Trades : Electricity/ Plumbing/Carpentry
Tourism Trades : Hospitality/Cooking/Trekking Agency
Bi-qualification programs
Later on, additional fields ( Agro-food processing, …) to be promoted.

Job Description

Numbur Vocational Training Centre is seeking a Carpentry Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality vocational education and training to students, preparing them for successful careers in the carpentry industry.

Responsibilities:

Create and deliver lesson plans for carpentry courses according to the curriculum set by the organization.
Instruct and guide trainees on the proper use of tools and equipment used in carpentry.
Teach proper safety procedures and techniques to students in the workshop.
Demonstrate hands-on techniques and methods to students and supervise their practical work.
Conduct assessments and provide feedback on students’ progress.
Assist in the development of new curriculum and course materials as needed.
Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance and progress.
Ensure the workshop and tools are kept clean and in good working condition.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement vocational training activities.
Participate in training and development programs to improve teaching skills.
