Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Captain at Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort will oversee the food and beverage service operations to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will lead the team with a focus on high service standards, customer satisfaction, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the food and beverage staff, ensuring adherence to the resort’s standards of service.
Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
Oversee the setup of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and proper arrangement.
Manage guest reservations, seating arrangements, and special requests to optimize service efficiency.
Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement department for replenishment of supplies.
Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and service stations to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, providing feedback on guest preferences and trends.
Prepare reports on staff performance, guest feedback, and operational metrics for management review.
Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices to enhance service quality.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food and beverage department, preferably in a resort or high-end restaurant setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle customer complaints and provide effective solutions.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations and quality standards.
Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
Fluent in English and Nepali; additional language skills are a plus.
