Women Rehabilitation Center (WOREC Nepal) is a movement based organization that functions with the premise of women rights and social justice as a prerequisite for peace, social justice, and sustainable development. From over 29 years, WOREC has established itself as leading national organization that works to prevent violence against women, its causes and consequences, ensure its economic, social-cultural well-being of women as well as other marginalized groups by promoting their access to rights and social justice.
From the early 2020 world is facing COVID-19, the pandemic which has turned into a global crisis and has already claimed over 500,000 lives worldwide and has brought the world economy to a halt. The COVID-19 pandemic presents itself as a unique and unprecedented crisis where a health-related humanitarian crisis has evolved simultaneously into a socio-economic crisis with an unprecedented cessation of economic activities and erosion of income opportunities for millions, especially those in the informal sector.
Under this difficult situation, WOREC has decided to provide Standard Psychological first aid training (PFA) under IASC guideline to youth so youth can engage in the community to address the psychosocial issues of the community people especially to their peers. Psychological First Aid (PFA) is the globally recommended training for supporting people during emergencies and offers guidance on delivering psychosocial care in the immediate aftermath of the emergency event. At current time, providing PFA training to youth can enable them to support people in distress caused by COVID-19.
Scope of Work
WOREC is looking for a consultant/consulting firm to facilitate five days of training on Standard Psychological First Aid Training (PFA) under IASC guideline to youth. The consultant/consulting firm/ or team shall develop and deliver online training, this includes the following services:
