Job Description

  • Running finance department for clients and bookkeeping
  • Oversee and review the team members
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns
  • Communicating with clients in the UK and overseas via email and calls
  • Preparation of working papers to the highest standards
  • External and internal auditing
  • Financial planning and analysis
  • Tax planning
  • Payroll compliance
  • Company secretarial
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Preparation & filing of financial statements of companies under UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Preparation of group reporting pack as per the requirements of the group auditor (mainly Big4)
  • Preparation of working papers, client pack, reporting pack, etc. as per the requirements
  • Preparation & filing of corporate and personal tax returns
  • Tax planning and advisory, including capital restructuring, group/business restructuring etc.
  • Communicating with clients in the UK and overseas via email, telephone calls, and video conference calls
  • Preparing complex tax advice reports for clients spanning multiple jurisdictions with due consideration to local & international taxes, accounting standards, legal issues, and impact on company funding requirements
  • Advising clients on Mergers & acquisitions (M&A), deal structuring, demergers, share swap etc.
  • Delivering full-scale internal finance function services covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, finance controller function, and finance director function
  • Dealing with tax authorities for successful tax claims and investigations covering R&D tax credit, capital allowances, stamp taxes, VAT, etc.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required
