Job Description

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth for Life Sciences Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the life sciences industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the life sciences sector
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and business development activities
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company’s offerings
  • Provide detailed knowledge about laboratory equipment to clients and assist in selecting appropriate products based on their needs.
  • Offer technical assistance to customers, troubleshooting issues with laboratory equipment and providing maintenance support.
  • Combine engineering knowledge with sales skills to promote and sell laboratory equipment, developing relationships with clients and understanding their technical requirements.
  • Demonstrate the functionality and benefits of laboratory equipment, often conducting training sessions for end-users and developing application notes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the life sciences industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
