Job Overview  

We are looking for a Business Development Officer to help us to improve and grow our business, by establishing and developing relationships with customers and other partners. 

Job Description  

  • Planning, implementing and overseeing new business development initiatives.
  • Developing a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing proposal, sales pitch, presentations and quotes for existing and prospective clients.  
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings to communicate new  product developments to prospective clients  
  • Thinking strategically, seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.  
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport, arrange meetings and ensure sales conversion.  
  • Managing and leading the day-to-day operations of the department.  
  • Increasing the value of current customers while identifying potential customers.
  • Keeping up with the current industry trends locally and internationally.
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements  
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs  
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams  

Job Specification  

  • At least bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.  
  • 2 to 3 of years of experience in the related field.  
  • Strong communication, organisational and negotiation skills and IT fluency. 
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.  
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty. 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
