Requirements

  • Working knowledge and 2 years' experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) sector with priority to Water 
  • Master’s degree in related field; OR a Bachelor’s degree in the same field with additional relevant 2-3 years' experience in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector or WASH-related projects.
  • Proven track record of engaging with municipalities, local governments, and community groups.
  • Collaborative with strong communication and project execution skills.
  • Good command of English as well as Nepali (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate with other departments and work under limited guidance

Preference

  • Skills generated through prior experience in market research and analysis.
  • Experience working with local government agencies and development agencies
  • Prior involvement in initiatives focused on private-sector engagement and partnerships
  • Prior experience in project management and stakeholder coordination


Job Description

We are looking for a team member to lead overall project activities, including planning, execution, and tracking of progress in collaboration with the senior consultants, municipality, and project partners. The project focuses on assisting the Municipality and public utility service providers and businesses by supporting them to build their business/management capacity and collaborate for the delivery of better water quality. As the primary resource for the project, the team member will play a crucial role in directly engaging with stakeholders, facilitating collaboration, and providing hands-on support as required by the project.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the municipality, local government, community representatives, and project partners.
  • Coordinate the execution of project activities in collaboration with team members and project partners.
  • Identify and engage private sector actors in water quality improvement, facilitating partnerships and linkage.
  • Support project management activities and coordination with various stakeholders including project partners and the municipality.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports and deliverables.
