Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who can manage day-to-day processing for Australian clients accurately and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily bookkeeping and transaction processing for Australian client files
• Bank feed coding, bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Payroll data entry support where required
• Keeping client files clean, current and ready for accountant review

Required Skills and Experience:

• Solid bookkeeping experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar software
• Accurate, consistent and reliable data processing
• Ability to follow checklists, procedures and firm standards
• Extremely high attention to detail and high efficiency
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure
• Timesheet and time billing experience
• Good written and spoken English
• Australian bookkeeping exposure is highly regarded but not essential

Salary and Payment:

• NPR 25,000 to NPR 35,000 per month, depending on experience
• Salary is paid in USD, converted from the agreed Nepalese Rupee amount
• The agreed remuneration package is inclusive of any applicable taxes, state taxes, individual taxes, levies, statutory contributions or other amounts payable by the worker under Nepalese or applicable local law.
• The successful candidate is responsible for managing their own tax obligations unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Working Hours and Conditions:

• Remote, work-from-home role based in Nepal
• Early start required, matching Australian (Melbourne) business hours
• You must follow the Australian and Victorian working calendar and public holidays, not the Nepalese calendar, unless otherwise agreed
• High-speed internet and an up-to-date computer or laptop are essential, along with a quiet workspace
• Daily timesheet completion and time billing on client work is required
• Full-time role with daily communication and regular check-ins with the Australian team
