Padmashree International College (IT, BHM,BCA and BTech(food)) , established in 2007 A.D. and franchise with Nilai University (approved by Ministry of Education- MOE approval sn 70 equivalent by TU) and affiliated to Tribhuvan University, is set up with the vision of bringing in the global standards of IT, Hospitality and Food Science College to Nepal and produce scientific manpower of high caliber. The college is the creation of dynamic professionals. The team is led by professionally trained and experienced faculties.

Located in the heart of the dynamic metropolis, Tinkune, our new building is easily accessible from all the places across the valley. The college has well-equipped, well-furnished and spacious laboratories to facilitate the smooth conduct of practicals and research works. The library is full of books, magazines, journals and other reading materials. Besides, students can enjoy e-learning in the well-equipped computer laboratory with 24 hour internet facility which can be used by the students in the specified time. It has space big enough for games such as basketball, table tennis, etc.

Various modern methods of teaching through LCD Projector, OHP, regular talk program, seminars, etc are common.

General Information

At our institution Asst. Coordinators is the key educational leaders within the college. They are accountable to the Principal through the Vice- Principal. They work as leaders of a team of staff and they themselves are integral members of the core curriculum team. As key leaders within the college, they are expected to show initiative, be a visible presence, and be exemplary communicators within their own key learning areas and in the college community

Requirements

  • Must pass Master’s degree in the field of computer(Msc.IT, MIT, MCA or equivalent)
  • Must have appealing personality.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and high emotional intelligence abilities.
  • Should have excellent motivational and negotiation skills.
  • Must be Familiar with International Curriculum
  • Sound knowledge of Emerging Technologies such as AI, Cloud Computing, Blockchain Technology
  • Must have capability to handle program related projects and research work.
  • Preferred experienced candidates of at least One-year experience in relevant area however, fresh graduates having dynamic learning attitude candidates are also highly encouraged to apply.


Job Description

Key Duties

Academic Coordinators are responsible for effective curriculum delivery, the achievement of departmental goals, learning outcomes and the meeting of targets and benchmarks. They have a key role in the development of a positive work environment – one that is innovative and responsive to student needs. They are expected to be careful stewards of college assets and effective managers of budgets. They work with the leadership team to achieve the college vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

The Academic Coordinator will provide leadership and management in the areas of

College ethos, vision and goals 

  • By: Maintaining and strengthening the ethos and philosophy of the college Assisting in college planning Making informed and positive contributions to the planning and development of College Initiatives Being a positive and proactive member of the curriculum team

Personnel management

  • By: Developing positive working relationships with and amongst colleagues Being proactive in the support of colleagues in both academic and behaviour- related matters (when the behaviour is particular to the specific subject area). Supervising performance and progress of colleagues Promoting professional development of staff Inducting new staff members Assisting and mentoring pre-service teachers Participating in appraisal processes Delegating tasks as necessary and/or appropriate

Curriculum and pedagogy

  • By: Determining annual goals and related targets Setting appropriate standards and benchmarks in curriculum areas, and analysing, preparing and presenting data to demonstrate achievements of cohorts for different continuous assessment activities. Asst. coordinators are responsible to adhere exemplary teaching practice recognizing and catering for a diversity of learning styles by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the syllabus requirements for all relevant subjects having in-depth understanding of current trends in education. They must oversee the preparation and implementation of work programs, study plans and other courses of study within the relevant subject areas for different continues assessment activities by incorporating the standard guidelines of Nilai University to ensure the provision of supportive and challenging environments for optimize learning. 

Communication

  • By: Representing the relevant curriculum area/s within the college and in the wider community. Participating in professional activities outside the college Ensuring that teaching resources are made available to colleagues. Organising regular meetings, circulating information Identifying and monitoring students at risk. Encouraging and fostering positive relationships with staff, students and parents Being proactive in conflict resolution. Providing leadership and support in the area of student/teacher interaction Meeting regularly with staff and part time lecturers to provide the principal with minutes of curriculum area meetings.

Occupational Health and Safety

Asst. Academic Coordinators are expected to ensure that Risk Management Assessments are undertaken as and when required for the safe delivery of curriculum and other activities. They are expected to be proactive in observing work place practice, facilities and potential hazards and to report any risks to the college Business Manager.
