Roles and responsibilities of this job
We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development, and be passionate about building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and provide timely solutions
- Work closely with front-end developers to integrate the backend functionality with the user interface
- Implement security measures and best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data
- Optimize application performance and scalability through proper caching, load balancing, and other techniques
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development, and continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and frameworks to improve the development process
- Mentor junior developers and help them grow their skills and expertise in Java and Spring Boot development
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospective meetings
- Maintain code quality by writing automated tests, conducting code reviews, and adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- At least 3 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Hands-on experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
