Assistant Manager- Sales & Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Assistant Manager- Sales & Marketing to drive sales growth, expand market presence, manage dealer/distributor networks, and maintain strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and the ability to achieve sales and collection targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and drive overall business growth of the assigned Lubricant/Battery division. 
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales, revenue, market penetration, and product market share. 
• Develop and expand the dealer and distributor network by identifying and onboarding potential business partners. 
• Maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, key customers, and business partners and address their requirements effectively. 
• Identify new markets, customers, and business opportunities and develop plans for market expansion and product penetration. 
• Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve assigned sales and collection targets. 
• Set team/individual sales targets and monitor performance, providing regular guidance, coaching, and support to team members. 
• Conduct regular market and dealer visits to understand market conditions, customer requirements, product movement, and business opportunities. 
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, products, schemes, and promotional activities and provide relevant market intelligence to management. 
• Monitor dealer/customer outstanding and collection performance, ensuring sales are conducted within approved credit limits and company policies. 
• Maintain strong knowledge of Lubricant/Battery products, including specifications, applications, benefits, warranty, and basic technical requirements. 
• Coordinate with Service, Accounts, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth product supply, customer service, collections, and resolution of operational issues. 
• Prepare and analyze regular sales, market, dealer, and collection reports and provide performance updates and recommendations to management. 
• Assist management in preparing and implementing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans, schemes, and business development initiatives. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, sales procedures, pricing guidelines, and approved business practices while carrying out sales and market activities.
