  • Proven track record in a similar/complementary strategic marketing environment with transferable skills minimum three years’ experience 
  • Educated to Bachelor degree (BBA) and specialized in Sales & Marketing with  excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to present at  senior level: fully computer literate and numerate 
  • Additional marketing qualifications and advantage but not essential 
  • A professional manner with the social skills necessary to deal with a range of  stakeholders, together with the self-confidence and gravitas necessary to  represent the Hotel's image at a senior level 
  • High levels of energy and a flexible approach to working hours, working  evenings and weekends, when required

Job Description

(Functions the person will be  handling on day to day basis)

  • Develop and implement the Brand Strategy for Hotel Yak & Yeti in line with the  Hotel's overall Business Plan 
  • Develop the marketing strategy for existing and new products, including all forms of relevant Business. 
  • Oversee implementation of the marketing strategy, including media plans, campaigns, social/digital marketing, events and PR 
  • Manage the department’s marketing budget 
  • Work closely with the Sales Team, enabling them to meet their objectives by providing them with appropriate support (including campaigns, design,  presentation tools and online social media). 
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure that the social media  presence/activities/reputation/status are all developed and maintained,  constantly striving to be at the leading edge of development and in line with the  Hotel's overall strategy and guidelines 
  • Work closely with Sales Team to ensure that all PR opportunities (i.e. non paid for advertising) are maximized 
  • By working closely with, and managing the marketing team, ensure that all  publications and communications are in line with overall marketing strategy,  standards and guidelines 
  • Be responsible for the research programs & events (what's on), to ensure that  relevant information on consumer and business profiles and trends enables an  informed strategic decision-making process 
  • Develop creative marketing initiatives with the marketing team and by managing  the relationship with our Design Agency, at all times focusing on the delivery of  our objectives to increase sales. 
  • Formulate and plan the marketing budget in the context of the Departmental overall budget plan 
  • Plan, co-ordinate and review the work of the sales team to ensure the most effective use of resources. 
  • m) Responsible for protection of Hotel's brand, development of the brand and brand hierarchy, ensuring consistent usage across all concerned departments/areas. 
  • Be the protector of the “customer journey”, to ensure the best possible customer experience from initial point of contact to post-event. 
  • Plan and implement, with the Sales Team, innovative and relevant match day activities to ensure a quality customer experience so that customers will want to come back to future events 
  • As part of the Hotel’s executive team, attend regular meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures and budgets. 
  • Develop personal profile and strong relationships with all key external and internal key company contacts.
