Job Description

The Associate Project Officer will support AAIN Regional Office in the management of partnership project and ensure successful implementation of WASH Project. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to partner NGOs in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project 
  • Engage in documenting programme impact, achievements and case stories related to the project 
  • Prepare capacity building plans, produce reading and learning materials, organise and conduct trainings for partner NGO 
  • Support in building and maintaining relationship with various stakeholders and government line agencies
  • Ensure and be responsible for statutory plan, budget and timely reports and donor compliances

Key competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. 
  • At least 2 years professional experience in project related to WASH in I/NGOs. Experience in working with the communities and knowledge of water and sanitation in recovery and rehabilitation phase is essential 
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken English and Nepali including the ability and experience to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite and Auto-cad 

This is a mid level position based in Biratnagar with frequent travel inside the country.
