Roles and responsibilities of this job

The ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Specialist and Developer develops, designs, and supports ETL processes and tools. Responsibilities include data loading and manipulation to ensure data from various sources and formats are efficiently and effectively integrated into the company’s data warehouse system.

Job Descriptions:

Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
Establish and enforce data warehousing standards to meet requirements and business needs
Evaluate existing subject areas stored in the data warehouse and determines where data should be stored
Create SSIS ETL solutions with Microsoft SQL Server environment
Utilizes SQL development to produce effective database development
Develops solutions to minimize implementation risk and time and/or improve system reliability and performance
Review ETL programs for compliance with best practices, standards, enterprise architecture and documentation requirements, ETL process, programs and scripts
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve performance and production problems and data issues
Validate the data in the database and test the developed routines
Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned ETL applications
Assist in several components of the overall ETL process and data warehouse system
Document tasks for end-user, technical, and managerial review to ensure high quality customer service
Perform quality assurance testing of data integration and report development and monitor data load operations to ensure accuracy
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Experience in ETL development, preferably for large, complex data sets
An Experiment using SSIS and C# development focused on handling large data files
Experience working with relational databases
Experience working with programming concepts
Experience working with statistical concepts
Experience using various tools and techniques for data warehouse technologies and implementations
Experience designing, and debugging database models
Experience writing SQL scripts including functions, stored procedures, triggers, and views
Experience writing programs in C#
Experience using statistics for data verification
Experience automating jobs.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Ability to work under pressure and under minimal guidance
Ability to execute project requirements with/for multiple employees and meet deadlines
Highly skilled in logical and analytical modeling
Highly skilled in SQL development
Understanding of relational database models
Knowledge of data warehousing, and data administration
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
