We are looking for an associate android developer who will be responsible for developing applications for devices powered by the Android operating system. Your primary focus will be working on the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services under the supervision of senior android developers. Due to the fragmentation of this ecosystem, you must pay special attention to the application’s compatibility with multiple versions of Android and device types. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build applications for the Android platform
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to develop new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5 years experience in Android app development
• Good with Kotlin, and Android Studio
• Knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of Graphql is a big plus
• Good knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
• Experience with offline storage
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Proficient understanding of Git
