IT Strategy Formulation

• Input into IT plan through research on new technologies and products and evaluate their suitability for  our organization requirements
• Benchmark own IT security solutions vis-a-vis industry best practices

• Analyze and define Security Architecture and Communication needs after discussion with business and IT Head; consolidate findings and create the business case for the Infrastructure / Networking project
• Define technical solutions to business problems and put together the business case for them; recommend infrastructure products, network products, services, protocols, and standards
• Evaluate the IT infra requirements for Security Architecture and Communication; provide a rolling forecast to IT Infra team
• Align upgrade / maintenance schedule with IT infra schedules
• Create security policy for the organization.
• Mitigate security threats by external intelligence; Evolve preventive and remediation security procedures and policies
• Create unified communication strategy; implement communication policy and integrate with security framework
• Manage license entitlements, actual usage for Security Architecture and Communication
• Monitor implementation of security administration procedures for any actual or potential risk/breach / threat in security. 
• Ensure that all identified breaches in security are promptly and thoroughly investigated and address the same through recommendations for changes
• Ensure procurements are in line with organization security norms
• Provide inputs on vendor selection strategies through the lens of Security
• Track Security architecture and communication systems   budgets and ensure that expenditure and resources are monitored. In case of deviations, escalate promptly to Manager - IT Solutions and Procurement with proposed solutions
• Report periodically on the status of the different security and communication systems equipment  and current efficiency parameters and other IT performance metrics
