Assistant Engineer / Specialist – Network Sourcing

Position: Assistant Engineer / Specialist – Network Sourcing
Department: Finance-Procurement

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To develop strategic sourcing roadmap keeping in view short term and long term horizons.
  • Develop yearly, short term and long-term plan in line with Organizational strategies.
  • Effective planning and execution of planned activities in line with business requirements
  • Developing mechanisms to measure Projects service quality, KPI’s & control mechanisms.
  • Ensuring customer first approach, customer empowerment, ease of use and digitization
  • Understand expectation and preferences of Business to plan and recommend strategic sourcing interventions.
  • To formulate long range plan & annual business plan (Capex / Opex).
  • Close coordination with procurement teams to identify competent vendors for effective service delivery from vendors.
  • Ensure that RFPs are prepared for strategic sourcing for ease of assessing and identifying competent vendors
  • Support Network Sourcing Manager with data, facts and figures for strategic decisions.
  • Develop BOQs, contract terms and supply chain processes to give value for money to company.
  • To ensure best value for money to company.
Education Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / IT with experience in relevant Field. 
  • Working experience in Telecom Network with experience of preparing the solution designs, BOQs and supplier strategies will be an added advantage.

Profile

  • Able to understand business objective and develop strategic sourcing objectives / strategies in line with business objectives / strategies.
  • Should be able to think and plan strategic decisions and work on the plan.
  • Should have good understanding of contract management, contract design
  • Good understanding of compliance management
  • Good and deep knowledge of industry and markets available.
  • Good and deep knowledge of Telco industry and latest trends in the market
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Management and Vendor Relationship Management
  • Good analyzing and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.

Duty Station

Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements
