Job Specification

Education Level : Under Graduate (Bachelor)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 2 years
Other Specification

Qualification and experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Application or similar field with 2 years of relevant experience 
  • Should have intermediate experience in SQL i.e. ability to write a complex query for RDBMS like PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • Good understanding of Big data technologies (Hadoop/Spark) 
  • Should be able to work with various data formats/source to build reusable data assets
  • Contribute to ensure data structured, accuracy and integrity in a way that can be used by stakeholders for data science workload
  • Knowledge of best practices in developing sound business logic and APIs that make data accessible in a safe, scalable and logical way to the stakeholders
  • Certification in cloud viz. AWS Associate, AWS Solution architect Associate or any other relevant cloud certification or relevant experience deploying cloud solutions 
  • Should have hands on experience in programming methodology SDLC, Agile
  • Experience in application development and understanding of telecom would be add-on

Job Description

Department: Information Technology

Section: Application Planning & Management

Unit: Operation Support System 

Duty Station: Current requirement is in Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements.

Main responsibility areas:

  • Monitor, maintenance, support and forecast OSS systems viz. network packet broker, network probe, big data environment, relational database and related servers
  • Driving end to end technical solutions for service delivery of OSS solutions including scoping and sprint planning
  • Build infrastructure to consolidate and enrich numerous data points
  • Creating complex data processing pipelines using ETL tools or custom Scripts 
  • Working directly with stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities in pre- existing data pipelines to build or improve analytics processes 
  • Delivery of self-serving reporting solutions that will enable strong insights 
  • Analyze currently deployed technology/solution, define key areas of improvements and participate in critical issue handling
  • Participate in evaluation and implementation of new and emerging technologies in order to provide exceptional customer service through operational excellence
  • Maintain backups in accordance with vendor recommendations and company policies to provide uninterruptable work of systems under direct responsibility
  • Analyze and assess security gaps
  • Perform any other relevant professional duty assigned by the supervisor
