Job Description

Position Overview:

This position belongs to the Department of IT and is responsible for providing support to Department leadership to deliver the academic activities of the department by ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and research practice devised in the curriculum, program goals, strategies, and policies of the university and the college.

He/she is also responsible to assist Department Head in the development and management of the academic department. He/she is responsible for support and supervision of all aspects of the program planning, implementation and monitoring, teaching and learning including reporting, and carries out tasks/assignments in collaboration with the Department Head. He/she collaborates with Department Head, Vice-principal, and Principal to develop program goals and strategies, teaching-learning activities, and quality standards and works closely with faculty members.

Key roles and responsibilities:

Teaching and learning:
Prepare lessons plan, develop teaching-learning methods and materials, conduct classroom teaching and learning activities, plan and conduct curricular activities, conduct assessments and exams, implement academic field activities, conduct lab activities, provide students services and support, etc.

Academic administration:
Collaborate/support the Department Head to develop semester plan, monthly calendar, academic calendar, class routine, and other relevant activities that impact the effectiveness of teaching and learning, and assist in supervision and engagement of faculty members, and conduct semester review and reporting.

Other duties:
Get involved in research and other activities, and other assignment and duties as assigned by the college.
