Vacancy Announcement: Assistant-Back Office and Settlement

Himalayan Securities Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Himalayan Bank Limited and a Full-Service Brokerage Firm, is seeking applications from dynamic, and self-motivated individuals for the role of Assistant-Back Office and Settlement.

 Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting in the confirmation and affirmation of trade details with counterparties.
  • Providing support in the settlement process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Assisting in reconciling trade and settlement data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate records of trades, settlements, and related documentation.
  • Supporting efforts to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assisting with communication with counterparties, custodians, and other financial institutions to facilitate smooth settlement processes.
  • Providing support to clients regarding settlement-related inquiries and issues.
  • Performing accurate and timely data entry for trade and settlement information.
  • Assisting in the use and maintenance of settlement systems and technology.
  • Supporting cash flow management related to settlements.
  • Assisting in investigating and resolving settlement discrepancies or issues.
  • Helping to generate and provide reports on settlement activities and outstanding trades.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as risk management and compliance, to ensure seamless operations.

 Core Activities

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of trades by coordinating the delivery of securities and funds between the parties involved in the transaction.
  • Conducting regular reconciliations of trade and settlement data to identify any discrepancies or errors and taking corrective actions to ensure accurate and consistent records.
  • Maintaining exhibits and reports, and documentation relating to trades and settlements.

Education and Preferred Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management/Economics/Finance/Accounts/Related Subject.

 Salary and Benefits

The Annual Cost to Company (ACTC) for this position will range between NPR 355,000 and NPR 488,000. A successful candidate’s pay may fall within this range, actual pay will be based on the candidates’ qualifications, specific skills, and experience. The Benefits associated with the position are as below:

  • Allowances: General Allowance, Festive Allowance and Force Leave Allowance.
  • Insurance: Medical and Accidental Insurance, Life Insurance under Endowment Scheme and Critical Illness Coverage.
  • Others: Leaves, Retirement Benefits and Bonuses as per Labor Act.
