Institution for Suitable Actions for Prosperity (ISAP) is now implementing 5-year project named JNS Agriculture Promotion Project in Nepal (APPIN) funded by Japan Nepal Society (JNS), Tokyo. The project aims to increase the income of community people by encouraging the production and marketing of high-quality vegetables and fruits, thereby promoting business and industrialization of the agriculture sector. We are looking for the following position to successfully implement APPIN.

  • BSc-Agriculture from a renowned university with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.  
  • Applicants must be willing to travel to remote areas. 
  • Applicants must be good team players.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package will be an added advantage. 
  • A Two-Wheeler driving license is preferred.

Job Description

Contract Period: Initially 6 months with possibility of extension
Reports to: District Agriculture Coordinator

  • Developing a detailed implementation plan of the agriculture component of the project in coordination with the District Agriculture Coordinator.
  • Facilitate training, workshop, and orientation programs of agriculture component of the project
  • Support and facilitate community members, social mobilizers, and others to integrate agriculture and marketing component activities in the planning process.
  • Regular field visit to provide technical backstopping to the beneficiaries
  • Organize joint monitoring meetings involving different stakeholders as per need.
  • Maintaining and compiling database, case studies and reports as required.
  • Work closely with the team during planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of agriculture components
  • Other duties as required by the organization.
