Job Description

The Assistant Accountant will provide support to the senior accountant by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks such as preparing budgets, maintaining reports, and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.

Detailed tasks:

  • Preparing financial documents accurately and within expected time periods such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable 
  • Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
  • Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and reporting measures and corrections where appropriate
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Verifying bank deposits 
  • Performing reconciliations of accounts (as supervised by Accounts)
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Preparing VAT return/TDS/E-TDS
  • Support Senior Accountant in coordinating internal and external audits
  • Posting daily sales and receipts
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
  • Preparing  LC/TT/RTGS related documents.
  • Preparing cost sheet(COGS)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Related Field 
  • Proven working experience in trading companies
Key Skills:

  • Proficiency and excellent skills with Microsoft Office 
  • Proficiency with Tally Software 
  • Experience in Balance Sheet Account Preparation 
  • Strong Bookkeeping Skills
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills for Reporting

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
